THE STORY BEHIND CHUNO ARTESAIN PLANTAINS

In the middle of the world, on the central coast of what today is Ecuador's city of Chone, there was a pre-colonial population called "Los Chonanas" led by their strongest and wisest warrior called "CHUNO". This population had as particularity the beauty of their women and the courage of their men. They attributed the beauty of their women to the potions or concoctions of fruits and leaves that they gave to their wives in gestation stage and the courage of their men to the fruits they ate from their fields among these the green plantain. To this day the city of Chone, which takes its name from its ancestors, is recognized for being the city of Ecuador of beautiful women and brave men, and it is for this reason that we offer our snack "CHUNO" handmade and healthy of the best quality, honoring our ancestors.
